J. W. Young 'PURIST II' model 2071, 5'' SCARCE Size and Model. MINT New/Unused condition. Made in November 2000 by GARY MILLS at Young's in Redditch.
The main body and spool are machined from top quality aluminium bar stock, bronze anodised for extra protection, ventilated aluminium foot. The backplate is finished with model details in attractive gold script. The removable line guard can be fitted in four different positions by removing the two retaining screws and refitting in the required position. The quick release ventilated spool incorporates six nickel silver spokes which facilitate accurate alignment and one hosts a 'wheel in hole' micro drag adjuster. The hub houses the improved configuration of twin stainless steel bearings.
This is an ideal reel for larger species or long range trotting. Not often seen and attractively priced at £295.
