R Sealey Precision Rods 'FESTIVAL', Avon style rod, SCARCE PATTERN. 11ft, 3 piece whole cane butt, split cane middle and top. A complex design including a compound taper to the middle section. Arrow straight, unused since excellent Andrew Davis restoration when the maker's complete and undamaged shield badge transfer and written model designation were perfectly preserved. Whipped in green silk with new high bells intermediate rings and matching amberfin agatine lined butt and tip rings. Retains original sliding aluminium reel bands, collar, butt cap and makers unique ferrule stoppers. Presented in the maker's original plain bag. Sealey Precision Rods were renowned for producing high quality rods from their Tudor Works, Marsden Rd. Redditch base. Scarce, desirable and an excellent all round rod particularly for larger species.
